Fully Human and Fully God

This is a very hard concept to understand. Christ was fully human and fully God always. He wasn't sometimes human and sometimes God, He was fully human and fully God all the time. It would be one thing to get into a discussion here about what it means to be fully God and another to talk about what it means to be fully human. God is a mystery. He reveals different truths to us but He will always still be a mystery. If God weren't a mystery than He wouldn't be God at all. God is altogther Holy. We could never understand the fullness of God. On the other hand, God created us human and Christ was also fully human. This is something that I believe people often over look about Christ. Sure we say we know that Christ was fully human and fully God but we often over look the word fully. We can't understand what it means to be fully God and we are indeed human. We try to figure God out and we seek to know what it means to be fully God but we can't. All the same, we are human all ready so we just accept that we know what its like to be human and move on. The reality is, though, that Christ was FULLY human. He was the first man on earth ever to be FULLY human. When Christ was crucified, buried and then resurrected, He demonstrated a whole new creation and form of humanity. When He ascended He proved His righteous and Divine status. Christ was resurrected with a physical body. He proved how physical He was by asking for food to eat, and He ate. He was touched and His wounds poked. God did not create humans to die. He didn't create us to ache, get sick or worry. He created us to be like Christ, the New Man. Christ redeemed our humanity by conquering sin. Now justified, we are being sanctified by the blood of Christ and brought to the fullness of our humanity. Christ was the first to be raised from the dead and His elect are to follow. If you are united in Christ than the old man has been put to death and the new man has been raised to life. (Romans 6) There is no sin in Christ. There is no death in Christ. To be fully human is to be in Christ. Think about this and what this means. You can go very far on this journey. Read the Word and discover what humanity really is!
