True Thanksgiving

Indeed I have many things to be thankful for. I have a great wife, a great son. I have a new home and a property to build a brand new Clinch Academy. I have good health and I love my job. On top of that I have many great friends. Really, things can't get much better. It is certainly nice to have all these things but the reality is, I should be just as thankful without them. God has shown me mercy. That should be enough for me. Everything else is an extra undeserved blessing. When I am thankful for God's mercy, indeed I am thankful in all things. Thankful in gain, thankful in loss. Thankful in victory, thankful in defeat. Thankful in health, thankful in sickness. Thankful in strength, thankful in weakness. Thankful in life, thankful in death. A true blessing and a true mark of a Christian is thankfulness and contentment in all things, even suffering. God's great mercy and compassion have put to death my fear, guilt and shame. There is no need to hide. Now I can stand before the Lord and praise His name. In Christ I have been forgiven. In Christ I have been set free and In Christ I will live. Thank you Lord!
