Clinch Academy Vision

General Vision

My general vision for the Clinch Academy has mainly to do with provision. I want to be able to provide something positive for the community. Within this provision, I can break my objectives down into 3 groups:

1. Environment
2. Instruction
3. Inspiration
4. Leadership

First, I want to provide an environment that is welcoming to everyone. Martial arts is for everyone and serves many different purposes. Some people like the self-defense while others like the fitness, art, competition, or opportunity to develop friendships. I want to ensure that we provide an environment that can tailor all of these needs without having to separate one aspect from another. Although there may be different classes for the specific groups, each group should be treated equally like family.

Second, I want to make sure that the instruction at the Clinch is top of the line. I want myself and my fellow instructors to really love what we do and to always strive to improve as instructors. Our job is to serve the students the best we can by knowing what to teach, how to teach, why to teach and when to teach!

Third, I believe inspiration is an important objective which will naturally manifest in a welcoming environment with high quality instruction. The inspiration I am most looking for concerns a desire to learn, live and express the purity of martial arts. Martial arts is about learning how to live peaceably with the world around you. The warriors mentality is about courage and bravery, but it is also about gentleness, humility, and self-control among other values. It teaches us how to be confident in any situation and thereby allowing us to keep composure. Hopefully, the students will be inspired by the instructors at the Clinch Academy to live the way of the warrior.

Lastly, I want to provide a place that equips others for leadership. Leadership can be defined as service. To be able to share with others the great things which we ourselves have been taught. Whether it be techniques, values or others, I hope that the students will feel a confident passion to serve others in any way possible.

I want the Clinch to be a highly competitive training academy with many other things that remain important. Each and every aspect of martial arts should be practiced. While the ability to fight is essential, the ability not to fight is much more challenging.

This concludes my General vision for the Clinch Academy.

Ultimate Vision

In my Ultimate vision for the Clinch I hold to major goals. Not only are they goals but also responsibilities.

1. I must run my business in a way that glorifies God.
2. I must offer a product or service that also glorifies God.

All the decisions I make should be based on this vision, that God be glorified through what I do. The world and everything in it is created by God and made to glorify Him. We are created to Love God, Love each other and to cultivate the earth. As a Martial Arts School owner I can glorify God more specifically by:

1. How I run a business
2. How I guide my students
3. How I treat my students
4. How I view and teach martial arts
5. How I handle my finances
6. How I provide for others
7. And by how I do all things

I believe business and martial arts like all things, to be created by God for His glory. Just like all things, business and martial arts are good but can be easily perverted into something corrupt. It is our job through all things to figure out how we can continue to glorify God through them and in that process we will discover their pureness and be able to use it as a means of loving God, loving each other and cultivating the earth.

As a man of God, not only is it my duty to glorify Him through what I do but it is my passion and desire. Joy in life comes through building on a solid foundation (which is Christ) the things that you know will last forever. The Clinch Academy will not last forever, but as long as my works are in Christ than the fruit of my labor will last for all eternity.
