A Gentle Breeze

Nature is a beautifull thing. There is a beauty in nature that is beyond our understanding. For instance, I know there is wind because I can feel it and I can see it's presence through the things which it connects, but I don't fully understand where it comes from. I know movement can create wind. I also know wind creates movement.

A tree is created still. They don't move on their own. But when the wind passes through, a tree begins to move and it moves only with the wind. It's nice to watch a tree move in the wind. Sometimes you will see just a gentle breeze that it very artistic and beautifull. Other times you will see a fierce wind which is breath taking and pretty amazing. In both cases, the tree moves because of the wind. Their is alot of insight that comes with this lesson. It is very simple and dumb while at the same time difficult yet brilliant.

The first insight I will relate to jiu-jitsu. Jiu-jitsu is all about using your opponents movements to lead to your victory. It really is not a fighting art. A tree never fights with the wind. Some trees are not flexible and get blown over by the wind but they never fight the wind. The trees that are flexible flow and bend with the wind. This is jiu-jitsu, being flexible and willing to flow. When you are flexible and willing to flow you will find the effortless victory. When I say flexible I don't just mean able to bend but able to change and adapt. So looking at this two ways is this, first your the tree being guided by the wind, second your the wind guiding the tree. Both ways require flexibility. Even when the wind hits a brick wall it is not stopped. It continues to flow where it needs to. The case of being the wind puts you on the proactive side but does not mean you are using alot of force. Your just creating reactions to work with.

The second insight relates to life. Being in the image of God, man has the blessing of creativity, work, knowledge and communication. With these things we can create our own little influences in the world intentionally or unintentionally. People watch/listen to you whether you realize it, care about it or not. Because of you some may be blessed or some may be cursed in their lifetime. God is everything from the movement that creates wind, the actual wind to the movement created by the wind. Nothing resist the wind just as nothing resist the soviergn will of God. Some may put up a good fight but they are the ones that get blown over. It is beautifull to see Gods gentle breeze through a tree but even more so through man. When a man flows with Gods gentle breeze it is peacefull and calms the spirit. It inspires others to do the same because it a beautifull grace. Its a harmony that we all wish to have. Even when the wind of God is strong, this person remains faithfull and flexible. You can see when people fight because it is unpleasent. It is not gracefull. It hurts to watch. God created us to flow with the breeze and create a movement of our own. Not a movement that seperate from God but one that continues to ripple from the Rock He tossed in.
