I was at the Mudd Puddle after a lesson earlier today and this girl called me over and asked me if I knew this guy. She didn't know his full name and I couldn't point him out by what she was saying but she said that he knew me and that he was saved two weeks ago. She didn't know me but saw me at the Clinch and said that he talked about me and she thought I would like to know.
Anyway, as I was walking home I was thinking about the words, "two weeks ago". I was thinking about how Christ died on the cross. How Christ became sin for our sake and sin was nailed to the cross. How sin was put to death and striped of its power and Christ was raised to new life in His victory over the final sin, which is death. This was much further back than two weeks ago?
What was he saved from two weeks ago? What does it really mean to be saved? What is grace if we choose to recieve it? What is mercy if we ask to recieve it? What is forgiveness? Do you ever ask these questions? Was he really saved---" two weeks ago"?
Did Christ come so that we "might" be saved or did Christ come to save? What is redemption and salvation. What does it mean to be saved?
Did this guy choose Christ and then get saved two weeks ago as a result or was he saved all ready and as a result chose Christ? What is the purpose of Christ? Where in the world does faith even come from and when? What actually is Original Sin?
Oh yea, and what is Good Friday? Why is it good again?
There are alot of questions here. Do you know the answers? Could you answer these questions without doubt and confusion if someone were to ask? The bible says be ready in season and out of season to preach the word. Be ready to give answers to those who ask. Search the scriptures with readiness.
well......get to it!
